Paleo Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins Alternatives

  • Make it Nut-Free: Swap almond flour for oat flour or coconut flour (adjust the liquid accordingly).
  • Boost the Protein: Add a scoop of dairy-free protein powder for an extra protein boost. I love the Truvani brand because they sweeten their protein powder with monk fruit.
  • Different Add-Ins: Instead of chocolate chips, try adding chopped nuts, raisins, or shredded coconut.
  • Egg-Free Version: Substitute the egg with a flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed + 3 tablespoon water) for a vegan option.

Storage & Meal Prep

Freezing: Freeze muffins in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds or let them thaw at room temperature.

Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Refrigeration: Keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Top Tip

For the best natural sweetness, use extra ripe bananas with brown spots. The riper the bananas, the sweeter the muffins!
