These Crispy Easy Hummus Tacos are a delightful fusion of creamy hummus, crispy tortillas, and fresh toppings, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal or snack.
The secret is to pan-fry or until golden brown and crispy, which creates a mouthwatering texture that elevates these tacos to a whole new level!
I love whipping up this recipe for lunch or even a snack to pull me over to dinner.
Imagine dipping these easy hummus tacos into fresh salsa! Or even a dairy-free queso?!
Okay, I am getting myself hungry.
Sometimes I make my air-fried honey mustard chicken breast, shred the chicken, and throw it into the hummus tacos for extra protein and flavor.

How to make easy hummus tacos
To get started, you can warm your almond flour tortillas so that they are easier to shape and fold in half.
Since I am making a snack for myself and my boyfriend, I am using two tortillas. If I was making lunch, I would eat 2 tortillas myself.
The first step is to slather your favorite creamy hummus on top of the tortilla. You can be very generous here. If you need a good hummus recipe, scroll down a bit and I share my go-to recipe.
Then add crunchy bite-sized potatoes on top of the tortillas. I make my crunchy potatoes in the air fryer ($40 for this air fryer)! To do this, simply cut up the potatoes into small cubes. Season with garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Air fry for 10-15 minutes at 400. I like that option because you are not using extra oil!
Next, we are going to layer on fresh and creamy avocados. Make sure you grab a ripe avocado!
Fold your tortilla in half and then pan-fry those tacos! I use a non-stick pan (here is my favorite pan)…but you can use a spritz of avocado oil to get those brown crispy edges.
Siete Almond Flour Tortillas
The star ingredient is truly the almond flour tortillas by the brand Siete.
I am a HUGE advocate of the brand Siete (not sponsored) because they use clean and whole ingredients.
You will not find sugar, flour, unnecessary oils, or other random ingredients in Siete products.
My rule of thumb is, if I can verbally explain what each ingredient is while reading the ingredients label, then the packaged product is likely healthy!
To keep this recipe paleo and gluten-free, I recommend trying out the Siete almond flour tortillas!
You can also get the 365 brand at Whole Foods for a fraction of the price.
You do you.
What pairs well with easy hummus tacos?
Good question. You can make rice and beans, a fresh cabbage salad, or fresh tomatoes.
If you are into desserts like me, then you might want to finish with a sweet something. I would recommend trying this gluten-free and dairy-free double chocolate sea salt brownie bars. They are chewy and full of chocolate.
What is hummus made out of?
Hummus is an excellent high-protein snack and spread. It is made out of drained chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice and tahini.
I included the measurements below.
Simply put all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender (I love using my Vitamix!) and blend until a creamy spread is formed.
I love to make hummus each week and store a jar in the fridge.
That way, if I ever want to dip carrots in hummus or make these easy hummus tacos, the prep work is already complete!
Top tip
In my opinion, these easy hummus tacos are not complete without the browned crisp edges. To do this, you can use a spritz of avocado spray on your frying pan and fry up the tacos!

π Recipe
Easy Hummus Tacos
Ingredients
- 1 Siete Almond Flour Tortilla
- Β½ Russet Potato
- 3 tablespoon Creamy Hummus (If making it homemade, check out my recipe above)
- Β½ Avocado
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Crispy Potatoes
- Cut up the russet potato into small cubes. Put the cubes into a bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper on top of the potatoes in the bowl. Shake the potatoes until they are well coated.
- Throw the potates into the air fryer for 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees farenheit. You want them crispy!
Make the taco!
- Warm the tortilla if desired. To do this, take the tortilla and place in a hot frying pan for ~10 seconds until warm. This will make it easier to fold in half later.
- Slather on the hummus to the warmed tortillas.
- Add the crispy potatoes on top of the hummus.
- Cut the avocado and place on top of the potatoes.
- Fold the tortilla in half. Place the tortilla on top of a warm non-stick pan. If you want to get the crispy edges, you can spray a bit of avocado spray to your pan first then fry the tortilla on both sides.
- Eat warm and enjoy!!!!!
